Vermont Tortilla Companyvermont tortilla company
Vermont Tortilla Company
Vermont Tortilla Company produces artisanal tortillas made with local organic non-GMO corn. Our tortillas are naturally gluten-free with no added preservatives. Our only ingredients are corn, water, and food grade lime. Once you taste the difference, you will not want to go back to the other brands!

Vermont Tortilla Company was founded in 2015 by April and Azur Moulaert, food loving ecologists turned food producers. We have always had a passion for food and for foods that are produced in a sustainable manner. During our annual trips to Costa Rica and Mexico, we discovered that we loved corn tortillas made from corn grain, and that we could not find anything like this in Vermont. A light went off -- why don't we bring delicious organic corn tortillas to Vermont.

We use local, organic corn sources. Our tortillas have an earthy, intense flavor of volcanic stone-ground corn steeped in mineral lime. In the future, we hope to get growers to grow special ancestral varieties of organic corn for us. In the interim, we are using whatever locally sourced organic non-GMO corn we can find, which is actually not that easy to do. However, we welcome the challenge and pledge to support our local food systems.
